What makes JosephCareRX different from other weight loss clinics?
You only pay in parts at each step—$35 for booking and registration, $99 at your doctor’s visit, and $65 for your follow-up to review your report and treatment options. With two visits included, the total cost comes to just $199!. After the first month, optional membership for the program is $140 per month. This includes follow-up appointments, insurance concierge, and members-only resources. All in-person patients get free body scans included (limited offer). If you shop around, you would find that our fees are much lower than our competitors, who rarely offer direct and ongoing access to a board-certified obesity medicine physician.
For medication, there is an additional cost for branded (not compounded) medication, starting at $349/month for Zepbound (Tirzepatide) and $400/month for Wegovy (Semaglutide). You won’t find a lower price for the real version. If covered by insurance, the medication cost would be much lower.
We are available 5 days a week, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 6 pm. For appointment times, please see our schedule for a free consultation or to book a visit at a time that is convenient to you. We do:
• Office appointments Monday, Wednesday and Thursday
• Virtual appointments Tuesday and Friday.
It is located at 2504 Raeford Rd # 101, Fayetteville, NC 28305.
For visits, we accept Medicaid, Aetna, BlueCross Blue Shield and FSA/HSA payments. We work with all insurances to get your medication covered

Obesity is recognized as a chronic, relapsing disease. Just like other chronic conditions, treatment often needs to be ongoing. GLP-1 and other weight loss medications help regulate appetite and reduce cravings, making it easier to maintain healthy habits. When medication is stopped, old appetite signals often return—along with weight regain. Our goal is to help you create sustainable lifestyle changes sometimes with the support of medication as long as it’s helpful for you.
Results vary, but large clinical trials show meaningful, sustainable outcomes:
• Wegovy® (semaglutide) – In the STEP trials, participants lost an average of ~15% of their body weight over 68 weeks, when combined with lifestyle changes.
• Zepbound™ (tirzepatide) – In the SURMOUNT-1 trial, participants lost an average of ~21% of their body weight over 72 weeks, when combined with lifestyle changes.
• With any method, our patients lose an average of 15% weight loss in 6 months. We aim to keep muscle mass.
• We’ll personalize your plan so that your progress is realistic, healthy, and sustainable.
Absolutely. Many of our patients choose a medication-free path. At JosephCareRX, we offer structured lifestyle support in nutrition, activity, and behavior change. We use motivational interviewing to help you identify your strengths and create a plan you can maintain for the long term.
Yes. Generic phentermine can start as low as $15/month depending on your pharmacy, and may cost even less if covered by insurance
You still have options:
• Several FDA-approved, older weight loss medications may be covered by insurance or available at very low cash prices.
• Sometimes these are a better fit depending on your health history and weight loss goals.
• We also offer cash-pay pricing for certain treatments when insurance is not an option.
Ozempic® (semaglutide) and Mounjaro® (tirzepatide) are FDA-approved for Type 2 diabetes, not weight loss. Insurance typically only covers them if you have a qualifying diabetes diagnosis. If your goal is weight loss, we’ll work with you to find covered alternatives or other safe, effective options
We take a personalized, evidence-based approach:
• We use your insurance whenever possible—helping you access covered medications.
• We do not use compounded weight loss injections, which are unregulated, illegal in many states, and carry safety risks.
• Care is led by an ABOM-certified obesity medicine specialist, trained to guide you through every stage of your journey.
• Every patient receives a personalized weight report to track progress.
• We offer body composition monitoring, so you can see fat loss, muscle preservation, and other key changes—not just the number on the scale.
Your success is our mission, and we combine medical expertise with compassionate, ongoing support.
